qabel is a free, publishedsource cryptography platform. where others retroactively install encryption in existing services such as cloud, email or messenger, qabel does it entirely the other way round: the platform encrypts everything that is connected with it endtoend, including messenger, email, industrial applications and individual solutions.
as a user, you only have to deal once with encryption across application and can then exchange endtoend encrypted data within applications connected to the platform. moreover qabel ensures that metadata is largely obfuscated.
until now, the market has offered a lot of applicationdriven software that promises security. in existing individual applications like messaging, cloud and email, encryption is installed later. the disadvantage: as a user, you have to configure each application separately. that is complicated and tedious and massively hinders the distribution of a standardised system.
