LibreMesh is a set of modules extending the OpenWrt router distribution to create self-configuring wireless and wired mesh networks. By default it uses ad-hoc wifi networking and batman-adv, BMX as the routing daemons.

by default it uses adhoc wifi networking and batmanadv, bmx as the routing daemons.

you can compile your own flavor of libremesh and choose the routing daemons and the extensions you need. in addition to batmanadv and bmx, it currently supports bgp, babel, olsr, olsrv2.

different community networks around the world are using libremesh either as their unique firmware or in coexistence with other firmwares.
