gmx mail is a germanbased free webmail service provided by gmx (global mail exchange). in addition to an email address, each gmx account includes a mail collector, address book, organizer, and file storage. one user can register up to 10 individual gmx email addresses in one account.
the application comes with 5 gb of email storage, 2 gb of file storage, file sharing capabilities, and virus and spam protection. “drag and drop” capability for files and emails is also utilized. other features include a push mail service to feed other thirdparty addresses (e.g. gmail) into the gmx inbox, an address book, and blackand whitelist functions. the service supports pop3, smtp and imap protocols as well as mobile device integration. the service also provides a calendar feature and the ability to directly login to facebook using registered gmx login and password. email accounts can be registered with a choice of .com, .co.uk and .us, amongst many others.
