the bigip edge portal™ application facilitates secure remote access to enterprise web applications. this application can bookmark frequently accessed enterprise web applications and automatically authenticate the enduser with bigip edge gateway™ and firepass™ ssl vpn solutions. this application does not provide layer 3 access to corporate resources, but instead provides a layer 7 content rewrite proxy and bookmarks for access to corporate protected web applications.
requirements:
bigip edge gateway™ or firepass™ must be configured to allow portal / web application access (html content rewrite).
